Russell Sands has been trading commodities, stocks, futures, financial indices and currencies since 1983. He trades his own account for a living, and has run hedge funds while also advising clients. Russell is a Registered Commodity Trading Adviser (CTA) and an approved National Futures Association (NFA) associate member with students in thirteen countries around the world.
In addition, Sands has been featured in various media including Stocks & Commodities and The Wall Street Journal.
Yet, Russell’s background in the lucrative trading world is not what you would call conventional. He did not learn to make great money by working for a bank or a stockbroker. Instead, Sands was taught a remarkable and easy trading system face-to-face by Richard Dennis and Bill Eckhardt - two of the world's finest traders.

Canada Cannabis Approval: Top Stocks to Watch
by
Ian Cooper
This could open the floodgates of opportunity in marijuana stocks.
Just last week, the Canadian Senate overwhelmingly passed Bill C-45, also known as the Cannabis Act, which legalized the use of recreational marijuana. The law goes into effect on October 17. While it’ll take Canadian provinces a few weeks to ramp up for likely demand, the law opens a sizable market.
By 2021 analysts say Canada could have nearly four million recreational marijuana users, creating a monstrous $4.5 billion industry. The industry could balloon to $8.7 billion shortly thereafter, as marijuana retail sales just in Canada are likely to surpass beer, wine and spirit sales combined. That’s big money.
In short, this approval could set off another boom.

Correlation: Now You See It, Now You Don’t?
by Russell Sands
The following is an excerpt from Russell Sands' Turtle Secrets
Correlation is a tough subject to get a handle on. Especially for me, since I always used to get confused when people started talking in higher mathematics, using funny looking symbols instead of regular old numbers. Nonetheless, correlation is an interesting subject, and one that is important to traders, so it’s worth devoting a little time and effort to understand how the markets interact with each other. However, keep in mind that in the final analysis, we should not be overly concerned with trying to find reasons why markets are acting (or not acting) the way they should, we just have to go with the flow.
Probably the easiest example to start with will be Stocks and Bonds. What do you think, are they positively correlated, negatively correlated, or is there no correlation?
