It’s always a good idea to keep an eye on insider buying.
After all, as we’ve said a few times, they know their companies the best. And if they’re willing to put their money where their mouths are, look into the stock.
Here are three stocks with hot insider buying.
Constellation Brands (STZ)
Constellation Brands plummeted from about $245 to a recent low of $181.78. All thanks to weak earnings that were below expectations. However, it looks like the 2.2% yielding stock is just starting to come back. Helping, company director William Giles just bought 1,000 shares of the beaten-down stock for just over $186,390. It also appears most of the earnings weakness has been priced into the stock.
FedEx (FDX)
Beaten-down shares of FDX are also seeing insider attention.
Earlier this month, Executive Vice President and CFO John Dietrich picked up 1,000 shares of FDX for about $273,980. Helping, analysts at JPMorgan just raised their price target to $372 with an overweight rating. Analysts at Argus also believe FDX is well-positioned to deliver strong growth moving forward, too.
GRAPES is the acronym for Generic Realtime Any Position Exit Strategy. This is a simple framework for an exit strategy that is a combination of many things we have learned over the years testing many different systems and models. It includes profit objective, stop loss, and move the stop functionality. It is completely mechanical and has no user subjectivity. We will examine each part separately along with an explanation of why and how we use it. GRAPES is applicable to any strategy on any time frame.
GRAPES INITIAL STOP
The initial stop is set according to entry testing. When we find an entry “edge” we want to trade, we know from our testing where the stop is that makes it wrong and/ or hits the $ risk limit. That is the initial stop loss for GRAPES.
GRAPES PROFIT OBJECTIVE
The profit objective is 1.5 times the initial stop loss. Note that it is not 3 or 4 times. There is a good reason for this; how many times have you read that if a simple system is “only 50% accurate” with a risk reward of, for example, 3:1 the trader will make a boat load?
Wednesday this upcoming week, the Federal Reserve will have their first FOMC Meeting of the year. While it’s technically the first FOMC Meeting of the Trump Administration, it’s still Joe Biden’s Inflation we’ll be looking at this week.
Speaking of Inflation Reports, Friday morning, the Core PCE Index will be released. This is one of the favorite Inflation Guides the Federal Reserve uses. So there might be some extra volatility Friday morning.
I don’t feel there are any stocks releasing their Earnings this upcoming week, which have the ability to move the Market as a whole. But here’s our take on the best stocks for those who want to trade individual stock options. Remember, wait until after the actual Announcement.

3) Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Trading and investing involve substantial risk. 4) You should trade or invest only “risk capital” – money you can afford to lose. Trading stocks and stock options involves high risk and you can lose the entire principal amount invested or more.
5) All investments carry risk and all trading decisions made by a person remain the responsibility of that person. There is no guarantee that systems, indicators, or trading signals will result in profits or that they will not produce losses. Subscribers should fully understand all risks associated with any kind of trading or investing before engaging in such activities.
6) Some profit examples are based on hypothetical or simulated trading. This means the trades are not actual trades and instead are hypothetical trades based on real market prices at the time the recommendation is disseminated. No actual money is invested, nor are any trades executed. Hypothetical or simulated performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. Hypothetical performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are described below. Also, the hypothetical results do not include the costs of subscriptions, commissions, or other fees. Because the trades underlying these examples have not actually been executed, the results may understate or overstate the impact of certain market factors, such as lack of liquidity. Simulated trading services in general are also designed with the benefit of hindsight, which may not be relevant to actual trading. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. TradeWins makes no representations or warranties that any account will or is likely to achieve profits similar to those shown.
7) No representation is being made that you will achieve profits or the same results as any person providing testimonial. No representation is being made that any person providing a testimonial is likely to continue to experience profitable trading after the date on which the testimonial was provided, and in fact the person providing the testimonial may have experienced losses.
